The Willow Series concept- There is a giant willow tree at the bottom of my street. I walk past it anytime I can . I love the way the leaves cascade down and the way the light shines through the leaves.
I really wanted to capture that in my paintings somehow.
I wasn’t looking for the pieces to be realistic, just for you to get the feeling of being enclosed and protected by a canopy of leaves. To create something that had the essence of that peace and grounding.
