Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms carefully before placing an order. By purchasing from Helen White you agree to the following conditions.
1. Original & Print Artwork
All original artworks are one-of-a-kind pieces created by Helen White. Fine-art prints are produced in limited editions and made to order. All sales are final – we do not accept returns or exchanges on original artwork or prints.
2. Commissioned & Custom Works
Commissioned pieces are made entirely to order and are therefore exempt from the standard consumer right to cancel or return under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (Regulation 28 – goods made to the consumer’s specification).
Each commission is a bespoke work created specifically for you. As part of the checkout process, you will be asked to confirm placement preferences for Helen’s signature. This decision forms part of the specification of your custom piece and constitutes the creation of a personalised work.
By completing a commission order you acknowledge and agree that:
- The piece is made to your personal specification and cannot be returned or refunded once production has begun.
- The work is an artistic interpretation of any discussions, briefs, mood boards or reference images provided.
- Variations in colour, texture and composition may occur as a natural result of Helen’s fluid, intuitive artistic process – these are not defects but are inherent to the nature of original abstract art.
- No two pieces will ever be identical.
3. Signature
All works – originals and commissions – are signed by Helen White prior to dispatch. During checkout you will be asked to confirm your preferred signature placement (front, back, or artist’s discretion). This preference is noted and fulfilled where practical, though final placement remains at the artist’s discretion for compositional reasons.
4. No Returns Policy
Due to the nature of artwork, we do not accept returns. This applies to:
- Original paintings
- Limited-edition prints
- Commissioned and custom works
- Any item that has been personalised (e.g. signature placement chosen at checkout)
In the unlikely event that your artwork arrives damaged in transit, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the damage and the packaging. We will assess each case individually and work with you to find a fair resolution.
5. Artistic Interpretation
Helen’s work is abstract and expressive by nature. Any commission is an artistic response to your brief – not a literal reproduction. Colour, form, scale and texture will vary from any reference images or discussions. By commissioning a piece you accept this creative freedom as fundamental to the work you are purchasing.
6. Shipping & Delivery
All works are carefully packaged and shipped with tracking and insurance. Delivery timeframes are estimates only and Helen White cannot be held responsible for delays caused by third-party couriers or customs. Risk passes to the buyer upon delivery.
7. Copyright
All artwork remains the intellectual property of Helen White. Purchase of a piece grants ownership of the physical work only – reproduction, copying or commercial use of any image or artwork is strictly prohibited without prior written permission from the artist.
8. Trading Name & Payment Transactions
This website trades under the name Helen White. The legal entity operating this site is Whitewater Training Limited (Company No. 12513243, VAT No. 499 6883 92). When you make a payment you may see Whitewater Training Limited appear on your bank or card statement rather than Helen White – this is normal and expected.
